The Old Town is the most picturesque part of Albufeira. As you travel down the steep narrow streets, take a moment to appreciate the Moorish architecture – many of the buildings you see were built in the 18th century.
It is a real pleasure to get lost in the maze of these old streets and try to find your way out (don’t worry, the area is small, you will find your way).
If you’ve had too much walking, take a break, have a cup a coffee in one of the numerous cafes or restaurants in the Old Town.
If you’re in the mood for seafood, be sure to look for seafood restaurants in any of the streets off the main square.
Are you a shopaholic? No worries, you are in the right place too. You will find souvenirs, clothing, and leather goods in numerous small shops in the area.
No need to hurry back to the hotel either, you can spend the night here if you so wish. Most bars in the old town stay open until 4:00 in the morning.
